Care ID Reimbursement

The CareID Kit is a reimbursement resource created by PharmAnalysis Group, Inc., on behalf of Merck & Co., Inc., to provide you with reimbursement information for CANCIDAS.

Visit careidkit.com to order a printed version of the CareID Kit or to download an electronic version.

The CareID Kit provides a wealth of information at no cost to providers. Topics include:

  • Medicare coverage and coding in the hospital outpatient department
  • Information on additional sites of care (eg, ambulatory infusion center)
  • Support information, such as lists of diagnosis codes and a sample letter of medical necessity
  • An overview of the third-party payer approval process

Delivered directly to your office or facility, the CareID Kit provides the latest product coding and billing support for your specific site of care. The kit includes:

  • A coding card for each product in each site of care
  • An overview of coverage by site of care
  • Support resources, such as tips for appealing denied claims, a sample letter of medical necessity, a listing of infectious-disease associations and societies, Web sites, and more

Anticipating that coverage changes and legislative updates will occur over time, annual updates to the CareID Kit will be delivered directly to your office or facility. These annual updates will notify you of pertinent changes related to CANCIDAS that occurred during the previous year and will address their impact on coding and billing for these agents. Please note that the information contained within this resource is current as of May 2005. It is the responsibility of each provider to ensure that the billing and the coding for all products are appropriate. In addition, each provider should ensure that billing and coding information is current because changes could occur between annual updates.
